Umpire Requirements
Heights-Norhill LL (HNLL) utilizes a combination of board & parent volunteers, paid umpires, junior umpires and volunteer District 25 umpires to officiate games in the Spring and Fall Seasons as well as any tournaments held at HNLL.
If you are interested in umpiring at HNLL please review the requirements and process outlined below.
To be considered for HNLLL, the following conditions must be met:
Umpire must complete and submit contact information via our survey HERE.
Umpire must be at least 14 years of age at the start of the season.
Consider registering as an umpire with Little League, Inc at their website’s Umpire Registry. This will give you access to all kinds of rules information that can be useful.
Umpire must attend an umpire skills clinic held by Texas District 25 UIC or be approved based on experience umpiring with the HNLL UIC.
Little League, Inc District Umpires from district 25 are exempt from skills clinic and may be approved by UIC upon review of credentials.
Umpire must fill out the background check for Little League, Inc. This will be facilitated by HNLL Safety Officer. The umpire only has to quickly answer a few questions from a link sent to their email.
